Supervisor

We are looking for someone who can assist in the day-to-day management of the Colebrook Crossing.  Our facility serves soft-serve ice cream, other ice cream treats, and a small variety of grill items.

  • This person must lead by example and uplift the staff during busy moments in a fast-paced environment.

  • They will need to ensure that the restaurant runs smoothly and that the customers have a pleasant dining experience.

  • Treat customers and employees with respect.

  • Responsible for providing quality customer service.

  • Assist in preparing and serving ice cream and other menu items.

  • Organize schedules.

  • Train staff and ensure that they are following proper safety and food quality standards and that they are following company policy.

  • Respond to customer complaints efficiently, with care and understanding.

  • Interact with quests to get feedback on product quality and service levels.

  • Provide input into developing standard menu items and weekly specials. 

  • Assist in ordering supplies and maintaining inventory. 

  • Help identify cost cutting possibilities and identify ways to cut waste.

  • Report directly to owners.  Provide them with constructive feedback on ways to improve Colebrook Crossing’s good image, service and food quality and employee relationships.

  • Assist in recruiting and interviewing potential employees.

  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance. Follow dress code.

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as a restaurant manager or similar role is a plus, but not required.

  • Experience with cooking on a grill and fryers.

  • Strong leadership, motivational, communication and people skills.

  • Honest and reliable.

  • Understanding of the health and safety regulations required in a food facility.  If ServeSafe certificate has not been obtained, one will be required.

  • Be able up to lift up to 30 lbs. and be on feet for an entire shift.

  • Some weekends and evenings may be required. Work is seasonal

Wage, compensation, and hours

Wages start at $15/Hour

Daytime shift - 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Evening shift – 4:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. or when clean-up is done.

Sunday shift – 12:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. or until clean-up is done.

Dress Code

  • All clothing must be clean and have no holes.

  • Black or khaki pants or knee-length skirt

  • Company t-shirt (provided).

  • Apron (provided).

  • Company hat or appropriate hair nets (provided).

  • Comfortable, sturdy, closed toe shoes.

  • Jewelry prohibited per safety regulations.


Ice Cream Server and Grill Assistant

This job can be fun and rewarding.  Serving people ice cream is an excellent way to make them happy and have a memorable experience!

  • Be a good listener.

  • Follow all written and verbal instructions from supervisor and owners.

  • Be mindful of unnecessary waste.

  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance.

  • Keep work areas and dining areas neat, clean, and sanitized.

Line Cook

  • Experience a plus, but not required.

  • Maintain and prepare food for stocking stations.

  • Keep track of supplies.

  • Suggest ways to be more cost and time efficient.

  • Prepare food for service in a timely way in the prescribed manner.

  • Follow all safety and health regulations.

  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff.

  • Keep cooking and food prep areas neat and clean.

  • Assist with other duties in the restaurant as needed.

  • Be responsible to shift supervisor and owners.
